Google's Pixel phone isn't getting to some customers fast enough. Google confirmed that the emails went out last Thursday and that customers should expect their Pixels this week. The Pixel and Pixel XL are the first phones for which Google had taken full control of the development process. Previous Google "flagship" phones fell under the Nexus brands and were considered joint partnerships with the company's manufacturer allies. While HTC constructed the Pixel phone, it's essentially a silent partner.
