CITY: San Jose. My favorite workout: I have always loved dance: ballet and tap as a kid and Latin dances as an adult. I tried some dance fitness programs while raising my children but was lucky to be one of the original U-Jammers when Susy C. and Matt Marks created the U-Jam Fitness program four years ago. I found like-minded individuals of all ages who love dance and a community of people who are willing to challenge themselves. In the last four years, I have improved my stamina, balance and strength substantially. I have lost weight and have more energy. More important, I am able to do this in a positive and supportive environment and have met some of the most amazing women and men focused on fitness. Susy and the other U-Jam instructors strongly encourage cross-training, and I have found U-Jammers of all ages who have joined me in exploring other fitness programs. On a side note, I met my boyfriend of two years in a U-Jam class.

The four-time world champion breakdancers will be doing their pops, spins and freezes to the strict-tempo strains of the Baroque master s The Well-Tempered Clavier. A Swedish ballerina joins seven male dancers in this fusion of urban dance and precision ballet, and there s a storyline to pull you further into the mashup. Tickets, $26-$76, are now on sale through www.redbullflyingbach.com.— Sue Gilmore, Staff.
What brings embands - non-slip white ballet shoes headband head band, pink ballet shoes, ballerina headband, ballet headband, girls headband these two together during the play is the disappearance of Beverly Weston, Vi’s husband and Barbara’s father, Vi and Beverly have had a tempestuous relationship during their marriage — and that’s putting it mildly, At one time a lauded poet, Beverly (played with a sense of destiny by Bill C, Jones) now freely admits that he’s an alcoholic — and proud of it, While interviewing a Cherokee woman (Roneet Aliza Rahamim) to be a caregiver for Vi, he expounds on how life has slipped by him, and concludes it now can be summed up in two sentences: “My wife takes pills, and I drink, That’s the bargain we’ve struck.” Then he slips away to … what? Fishing? Suicide? To escape Vi?..
The range of the choreographers is astounding to find all in one place, from Alonzo King, artistic director of LINES Ballet for 35 years, to Justin Peck and Myles Thatcher, who are still dancing in the New York City Ballet and S.F. Ballet, respectively; and from Christopher Wheeldon, who is creating his 10th work for S.F. Ballet, to David Dawson, Cathy Marston, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Dwight Rhoden and King, who are all premiering their first pieces for the company (though they have all created a prolific amount of work for other companies around the world).
